It's time for my periodic outing with my lovely wife, Elita. On this Saturday we visited the Sylamore Creek and lower Buffalo River areas. At 7:00 a.m. we ate breakfast at the Angler's Resort Restaurant on the White River at Allison. This neat little place is at the crossroads of Hwy's 14, 5 and 9 where Sylamore Creek enters the White River. The food is pretty good and the prices are fairly reasonable. We then piddled around the Blanchard Springs area and had a pleasant time there and then headed to Buffalo Point off Hwy 14. Lunch was crammed into our faces at the Buffalo Point Restaurant while viewing the river far below. It was quite scary. The food there was not great but the view was fantastic and the service pretty good. We then did some more piddling in this general area before turning for home. All in all a great time was had by all. Well...the two of us, anyway.
