  The morning fog. Ah yes. Beautiful from above but not always when your in it. At 5:30 a.m. with mist and 41° I entered the wilderness from the west and headed down the drainage. The forest was soaked, as if from rain, but only from the heavy coarse fog. The upper tributaries of Long Devils Fork were traced until the main branch was joined. It was then upward and back out of the valley where the sun finally shown around noon. The woods were exited at 12:20 with 52°. The hike mileage was 5.5.
