Hurricane Creek time is here. Entry was made from the northwest at 5:40 with a disappointing 28°. It was supposed to be around 20°. The skies were cloudy and there was an ever so slight breeze. It was also dark. A point above the creek was arrived at just before sunrise, but the clouds ruined my expectations for seeing that. A bluff line was traced to a vantage point looking east up the river. Still no sun. I hiked back out after some lunch on a carpet of pine needles. The clouds began to break upon exit from the forest. Typical. The temp was now 40° at 12:15. Distance hiked was 5 miles. Overall it was a good walk.
