Ricketts Mountain Bluff Hike from Hell

Curiosity had me on top of Rickets Mountain this past Saturday. The bluffs-o-plenty in the area drew me near. After the standard breakfast at Denny's I began my quest for rock. At 5:45 a.m. the woods encompassed me and in no time a dark bluff's edge lay before me. It was 40°..mostly clear skies. The wind was out of the southwest at twenty mph. This was disappointing. My path along the bluff line continued until well past sunrise. Many beautiful bluffs were encountered. By 9:15 I was back at the vehicle. Ten degrees had past and it was now 50° and still quite blustery. It was good short hike of 4 miles. Home was back in sight at 12:00. With half a day remaining. Life continues.
