Up the creek I did go on this cloudy morning. Hurricane Creek Wilderness Area has a multitude of aspects worth exploring, the creek being just one. At 5:30 a.m. with 68° the wading began. Breakfast was taken at Denny's in Russellville. The morning was quite pleasant. The creek had just enough water flowing and puddles were scattered on the flat rocks from a rain the day before. The creek bed was followed up until it takes a sharp turn to the east. The Trail was followed back to the car where I left it. I was out at 11:50 with 74°. Six miles were behind me. No ticks...surprisingly.
