Buffalo Point, Buffalo National River
Camping and kayaking at Buffalo Point, Buffalo National River
6/11/19
On Tuesday morning Elita and I headed north up Hwy 65. We ate a manly and womanly breakfast at Huddle House in Clinton. By mid-morning the Buffalo Point Campground within the Buffalo National River was before us. We chose a site and set up camp in a matter of minutes. The temp was an unusually cool 55°. From then on the weather was magnificent with highs in the upper 70's.. Our time was spent frolicking about the area. Activities included cycling, kayaking, lounging and eating...also drinking some beerss. After two nights of camping our destinations included Jasper, Eureka Springs, Huntsville, the Mulberry River and finally to Petit Jean State Park for some lunch. We were home by Friday afternoon. The entire journey was very refreshing.
