Aborted visit to Petit Jean, Lake Sylvia instead

A rainy Saturday in December...what to do. With one week till Christmas Elita and I decided to head op to Petit Jean State Park. We were amazed to find that the restaurant had been closed due to variables beyond our control. I had called just two days earlier and all was good. We headed to Lake Sylvia instead. The rain stopped and we enjoyed the area and had it all to ourselves. Breakfast was had at Mustang Sally's in Perryville.
