Sam's Throne and the Big Creek Valley
10/6/21
JimBob Sam had a thing for thrones. He also had a thing for the jesus. He was known to stand out on the bluff across the way and preach unto the valley. It was not long before the knob in the valley bore his name...JimBob's Throne. This was later changed to Sam's throne...as this sounded a bit more reverent to the townspeople of Mount Judea (pronounced Mount Judee). Judy was known to be the town skank during the time around 1848 to 1856. She was mounted often by the local lumberjacks that toiled at the wood in the nearby forests. The town eventually took her name, as she one day became mayor and deemed this to be so. The valley of Big Creek has a pastoral feel to the north and a mountainous feel to the south. Feel free to choose you direction for gazing into this wonderful vale. On this morning I gazed in all directions and did take succor upon its bounty. The day was cloudy and foggy, but the rain did hold off until I vacated the premises.
