Near Christmas bushcraft action at Petit Jean State Park

Breakfast at Mather Lodge within Petit Jean State Park has been an ongoing tradition for us dating back to the early 80's. We arrived at Stout's Point just before sunrise on Sunday morning and were greeted by way yonder too many peeblers. To get to our favorite spot, a few of onlookers had to be bumped over the edge. I'm sure they did not mind. My wife Elita and I observed the daily uprising of the sun with great joy, for Christmas was not to far in the distance. We could see it right out there. The temp was 28° and the skies were quite clear. Our next stop was Mather Lodge. There, many fine foods and beverages were obtained and eaten. Other activities were partaken of within the general area. The atmosphere was quite festive. Then, we drove home.
