Southwestern Ouachita National ForestEarly morning drive to southwestern Arkansas and into Oklahoma

I drove by early morning darkness to the southwest. Breakfast was hard to come by. McDonalds was my only hope...the the Big Breakfast became mine...no hotcakes. Onward west, and up into the sky. The temp was in the 30's but rose quickly. Sunshine was plentiful. Remnants of the recent snow and ice were all around me. I feared I might lose control...but no. Eventually...a fallen tree blocked my advance. Retreat...is what I did. Sad. Back to the east then..my speed sometimes exceeding 90 mph. Animals were plowed aside...not my fault. It was the speed. Also...they should look both ways. I blame their mothers for not conveying this rule while they were young.
