Hike down a tributary of Mill Creek

Mill Creek near Fern Arkansas is a creek that once had a mill on it. Devils Gorge (Devils Canyon) flows into it. Just a ways downstream Johnny Twocakes Creek flows into it as well. This is a small and tight creek. I ate breakfast at Waffle House and then entered the forest to explore this valley. It was 5:00 a.m. with 53° and clear skies. Much of this stream is clean bedrock. There are many small falls and a couple more that are large. Many of these were observed, but due to the difficult terrain some were missed. The flow was adequate and the water was clear. It eventually emptied into Mill Creek. There I ate lunch on a bedrock bank with the company of a water moccasin. We became fast friends. I exited the woods at 11:10 with 70°. The loop covered 5 miles. I then drove home at a high rate of speed...as is my custom. Two to three woodland creatures were ran over along the way. I apologize for that.
