East Fork Little Buffalo
Hot summer bluff hike above the East Fork Little Buffalo
 7/7/22
Many short explorations of this area have been undertaken by me over the past ten years or so. The return trip is always well worth the time and effort to get into this watershed. Breakfast was had a Denny's in Russellville. The shrubbery was penetrated at 4:40 with clear skies and 74°. Let it be known that at this time of morning, the woods are very dark. I arrived at my chosen vantage point just before sunrise, which was scheduled for 6:02 on this particular day. The view of the valley was stupendous. The expected high temp was to be near 100°. My hikes get me in and out early enough to enjoy the coolest part of the day, so this was not a problem. After spending a goodly amount of time at this location, it was back uphill and to the car. Exit was accomplished at 9:45 with 84°. This hike covered 3 miles.
