Lower Buffalo Wilderness near Duck's Head
Bluff hike above the Lower Buffalo River and the Devils Tea Table
7/27/22
Imagine, if you will...a Duck's Head. Now insert a wilderness into the head. This head area represents a small portion of the Lower Buffalo Wilderness. This wilderness encases the banks of the Lower Buffalo River. On this day my path was to a bluff above the Buffalo River. At 4:30 a.m. it was 82° and partly cloudy. After observation of sunrise, the bluff line was followed upstream to the the Devils Tea Table. No devils or tea were found at this site. I exited the forest at 11:05 with 87°. The hike covered 4.5 miles and was perilous.
