East Fork of the Illinois Bayou
Hike to a bluff overlooking the East Fork Illinois Bayou
11/3/22
Seven years ago an area was visited. The moisture to air ratio was quite high at the time, rendering the view from the bluff essentially useless. On this day I returned with profoundly improved results. The forest was penetrated after a breakfast at the local Waffle House...yes...just down the road. It was 5:50 with 57° and mostly clear skies. Some fog was present but it was just enough. The sun arrived as expected. It was my job to observe it and keep a record of its activity. The valley was filled with great beauty. Later, I left the bluff and headed in another direction. At one point, lunch was paused for. Then, it was back up the hill. Exit from the area was made at this time...10:25, with 70°.
