Big Creek Natural Area hike of big tarp action
11/22/22
Big Creek Natural Area resides in Cleburne County just north of Pangburn. Breakfast was obtained at Waffle House and was relatively tasty. The forest was entered at 5:30 with 38°. Access was difficult due private property surrounding the area. Driving by this location, one would more than likely not even notice that it was there. The valley has been well preserved and has a wild look to it. Big Creek is a tributary of the Little Red River. The main body of the natural area is just north. The two sections are not connected. I exited the are at 9:15 with 50°. My hike covered 2 miles.
