Hike into the East Fork Wilderness for long time

Yes...recently my explorations have been within the Illinois Bayou watershed. One might ask why. This area has been overlooked by me in the past and I'm making up for that. On this outing, the East Fork Wilderness was entered at 5:55 with 32° and a goodly wind. Breakfast was eaten at my usual Denny's. Susie performed well there and all was satisfactory. Heading down into the valley was a steep endeavor. By 7:40 a suitable blob of rock was mounted. The morning was a beauty. After the sun arrived, the valley floor was sought and found. The river was of average quality. It was traced upstream for bit and then it was back up the hill. Lunch was munched while leaning against a tree with the sun warming my loins. The wind attempted to cancel this but was unsuccessful. Exit occurred at 11:30 with 50° and mostly sunny skies. Mileage was measured at 3.8 miles.
