Adkins Creek in the Upper Buffalo Wilderness Area with climate crisis action

Imagine a land filled with natural wonders. Now go there. You don't want to go there? Let me go there for you. At 4:20 with cloudy skies and 73°, the forest was penetrated. The air was thick with moisture and it weighed me down like a wet tarp. Arrival was made well before sunrise at my chosen rock outcropping. No sun arrived. The morning was nevertheless beautiful. My view of the river was oh so very nice. The decision was made not to head down to river level due to the deadly heat and minimal flow of water. By 10:00 with 78° the woods were exited. The hike covered nearly 4 miles.
