Overnight backpack in Boen Gulf in the Upper Buffalo Wilderness

The Upper Buffalo Wilderness Area. On many occasions I have entered this wonderful headwaters locale. This time the Boen Gulf was my focus. The gulf is so vast that once your in, getting out is not a certainty. At 7:30 a.m. with 60° and mostly cloudy skies, the dark forest was penetrated. My hike took me through the forest until my bluff destination was achieved. The next morning I hiked out. My round trip covered 5.7 miles. The low for the night was 51°. The watershed held within this area is very lovely. One might even go so far as to claim that it is quite lovely. The video below will do a better job of describing the beauty.
