Spadra Creek
Hike on Spadra Creek where action resembles large spaderas
1/3/24
It was 4:45 on Wednesday morning with 30°. The darkness was, as if...ink...black ink, not blue. The forest was of a similar color. The ability to see was courtesy of my expensive headlamp. Without it, the woodland creatures would be on me like a donkeys on a biscuit. My intended bluff location was not adequate so the search continued for a sunrise viewing location. Eventually, after much painstaking scouring of the area, a view of the valley was secured. The partly cloudy skies slowly transformed into a sun filled morning. After tarrying at this spot for a bit, I moved up the bluff line, then had lunch. After that, the climb out was initiated. At 10:30 with 45°, my hike ended. The distance was 3.6 miles.
