December paddle from Pruitt to Carver on the Buffalo River

It began Wednesday morning one week from Christmas Day. At 7:45 with 50° and partly cloudy skies, my sleek-ass boat slid into the lightly chilled water and began its way downstream. At at 11:30 with 51° and mostly cloudy skies, the very same boat emerged from the fluid that had carried it 11 miles to this point. The entry was Pruitt and the exit was Carver. The flow was too high. All rapids were washed out.
