West Fork Shop Creek hike of unusually groovy bluff on creek action

Deep within the interior of Arkansas lies a valley that is pretty much like any other valley in the Ozarks except for one difference. On this morning, I occupied this valley and no other, making this valley...mine. The hike began at 5:05 a.m. with 32° and clear skies. A bluff of sufficient quality was sought and located, then mounted. Up came the sun. Down into the valley I went not long after. The creek was followed and a left turn made at Alum Cove. At 12:00 with 43° and partly cloudy skies, the forest was left behind. This hike was lovely. It covered 5.7 miles.
