Snow hike into the Boen Gulf in the Upper Buffalo Wilderness
1/10/25
Snow fell...approximately eight inches of that. On friday morning at 8:25 with snow still falling and 25°, I went into the white woods. The snow made the walking harder than usual. The valley was dropped into and some points of interest were passed. A bluff top was mounted that afforded an excellent view of one of the many prongs of the Boen Gulf complex. An alternative route was used to exit the valley. At 11:15 with 28°, the hike ended. 2.8 miles were covered.
