Sweden Creek
Sweden Creek Natural Area hike of all natural action
1/28/25
In a world where Scandinavian immigrants roam free, there is an area dedicated just to them. This area is called Sweden Creek. First settled by Jim Bob Svensenchig in 1841, this valley was known for little more than a creek that dropped over a bluff line. My day began here at 5:10 with 33° and a starry sky. The basin was located and a bluff top mounted...hard. The sun unit rose nicely over yonder ridge. After a time, the hollow's rocky bottom was entered and traced to the waterfall that this area is named for. Much frozen water draped the bluff edges. After my curiosity had been satiated, the valley was exited. This occurred at 10:30 with 49°. Then homeward went I. Mileage was 3.2.
