Hike down a creek that leads to another creek and then to another creek
2/27/25
Jim Bob Barron...what a guy. He named a creek after himself and named two branches of said creek after himself as well. His wife, Susie, wanted him to name one branch after her, but he said "shut up woman". At 5:30 with 45°, the morning hike into the perilous wilderness began. The going required elaborate maneuvers to traverse the rugged terrain. The stream had a decent flow. This was good. Bedrock and boulders intermittently lined the river bed. I proceeded with caution in these areas to prevent deadly consequences. The creek was traced until the East Fork collided with the West Prong. Susie wanted the West Prong to be called "Susie's Lovely Prong", but we all know how that ended. At 11:45 with 65°, the forest was exited. No lunch was partaken of in the wooded area. This endeavor covered 4.6 miles of pure hell.
