Hike up Smiff Creek in the Smiff Creek Preserved Area

Never before has this area been entered...by me. So, at 6:00 a.m. with 64° and partly cloudy skies and fog, the forest engulfed me. My way was made down to the bottom of the valley where Smiff Creek resides. It was completely dry save for an occasional small pool or puddle. The bed was traced upstream until the access trail was encountered. It was there that the mile hike up and out bagan. At 10:30 with 69° the parking area was arrived at. The valley was quite lovely and flowing water would make another visit worthwhile. My walk covered close to 4 miles.
