Dry Creek
Hike on Dry Creek, a tributary of Thomas Creek
12/31/25
Dry Creek is a tributary of Thomas Creek which is a tributary of the East Fork of the Little Buffalo which is a tributary of the Buffalo. The forest was entered at 4:35 with 35° and clear, quite starry ceiling above the mostly barren trees. This particular dry creek is one of 27 other Dry Creeks in Arkansas. I made my way downward and settled on a low bluff line. After the darkness subsided, it was deeper into the valley and onto the creek. The stream was flowing, and it was traced upstream. Then began the climb out. Lunch was had on the sunny forest floor. The car was arrived back to at 11:00 with 49°. The total distance covered was 4.4 miles.
