No, this is not a familiar area. I have hiked one creek over, that being Clifty Hollow. Unsure of what was before me, the forest was entered at 4:15 with 55°. Logging has been performed in the area making coming and going difficult. A bluff line was secured and then the clouds rolled in. After an uneventful sunrise, it was down the hill to to the creek. This creek was decent with small drops and lovely pools. After tracing the stream upwards, the valley was exited At 12:20 with 76°, my vehicle was mounted and dust became visible in my rearview mirror. Total miles hiked was 6.
